Welcome to The Oinkster, a fast-food gem tucked away on Colorado Blvd in Eagle Rock, CA. This restaurant redefines the traditional fast-food experience with a blend of gourmet flavors and a casual, welcoming atmosphere that invites you to indulge in some seriously satisfying comfort food.

The Oinkster specializes in American cuisine with a mouthwatering twist. Here, you'll find artisanal takes on classic fast foods, each crafted with a commitment to quality and flavor. The menu is filled with various delights, but the pastrami selection truly steals the show. Imagine sinking your teeth into the Reuben, featuring house-cured pastrami topped with a rich burger sauce, Swiss cheese, and tangy sauerkraut — all nestled between two slices of hearty rye bread and served with housemade mustard and a crisp dill pickle spear. Or indulge in the Oinkster Pastrami sandwich, where perfectly cooked pastrami harmonizes with caramelized onions and red cabbage coleslaw on a fresh French roll; it’s a flavor sensation you won’t want to miss.

Burgers at The Oinkster are equally compelling, with the Royale rounding out the menu as a must-try favorite. Juicy Creekstone Farms Angus beef combines with housecured pastrami, bacon, and housemade chili, all coming together to form a monster burger that promises to satisfy the heartiest of appetites. The crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, and crunchy pickles are the perfect companions to these hefty offerings. Vegetarians can delight in the Veggie Burger, a blend of flavors that won’t leave you wanting.

But the star attractions don’t stop there; customers rave about the expansive and expertly seasoned fries. Whether you enjoy them classic or crammed with toppings in the Piggy Fries, the crunch and flavor will elevate your meal experience. And let’s not forget about the delightful shakes, particularly the Ube shake, which has received nominations for 'Most Instagram-Worthy' due to its vibrantly enticing color and creamy goodness.

Walking into The Oinkster feels like stepping into a nostalgic, modern diner where the décor is as comforting as the food. The bustling atmosphere brings a lively energy to your dining experience — perfect for lunch with friends or a cozy dinner with family. Patrons are consistently impressed not only by the food quality but also by the friendly staff who create a welcoming environment, as echoed in reviews from locals who come back time and again. Peter Bonamici sings praises of their burgers, albeit noting their pricing can edge a bit high when pairing with fries and shakes, while others like Nikki Armour highlight the deliciousness of their meals coupled with the value provided by generous portion sizes.

So if you find yourself in Eagle Rock and craving burger perfection, The Oinkster should be your go-to destination — a place where good fast food meets gourmet sensibilities. Prepare to embark on a flavorful journey that will leave you coming back for more!

Great standard greasy burger but a little too expensive for what its offering. I live in the area and I frequent The Oinkster every time I have a craving for a really well done burger. They’re really good, burgers are a little small but fries are massive. If you’re doing the whole shabang with a burger, fries, and a milkshake, expect a $30 price tag minimum. The Burger of the Month and seasonal shakes are definitely the highlight, some are really great and others are alright at best. This is definitely a treat spot if you want to pig out, no pun intended. I really like it here but inflation definitely caught up to it, I took my girlfriend here and the bill for both of us was like $70 with the impending “Leave a 20% Tip” option that always comes up. Its fine, support local, just kind of pricey for what it is.

Went for a #MotoSocial meetup and the place is still as good as I remember. The burgers and pastrami are delicious. The fries are crispy and well seasoned. Plenty of parking and reasonable prices.

This was a place I came across on YouTube years ago. The problem was there is only one and never had the opportunity to check it. I was leaving Universal City late and had this small window of opportunity since they close at 9pm. Arrived 20 minutes before close and the staff was still welcoming. Since I knew about this place through social media, I ordered the pastrami(which for the record is $20) with fries and Oinsterade. First thing I noticed was how enormous the pastrami was. Dont get me, I came in with an appetite but I feel it can feed two people. Regardless, the sandwich lived up to my hype. Very appetizing(didnt finish), wasn't soggy or bland. Oinsterade was very refreshing and flavorful. Went another time on my travel down from northern Cal and ordered one of their craft burgers. Talk about sweeping In-N-Out and Tommy's World Famous. Juicy patty and flavorful burger. Worth getting that again along with the Oinsterade! They sell merch too but just showed up for the food.

Fun, old fashioned burger spot. I had the classic and my wife got the veggie classic and they were both excellent. Top quality meat, buns and crisp veggies. Ordered fries, drink and a side Ceasar salad

My bacon burger was delicious. The Ube shake was tasty, creamy and not too sweet. We will definitely visit again to try other items on the menu.

Slow fast food? More like full-speed flavor. The Oinkster absolutely hit my cravings out of the park — my pulled pork sandwich was juicy, tender, and Carolina-sauced perfection, and my partner’s grilled chicken sandwich packed big-time flavor from top to bottom. The fries? Two types of crispiness: classic Belgian beauties and over-the-top piggy fries smothered in cheese, onions, and creamy sauce — both dipped in their addictive house ketchup. Everything just delivered exactly what it promised — no frills, all flavor. One bite in and you’ll know this is Eagle Rock comfort food done

The Oinkster is ultimately so swine! Stopped in for shakes and saw the various sandwiches, beer and wine available. Impressed by the staff and quality of ingredients and taste. The Ube shakes are hands down our favorite and are large enough to split. The Oinkster pastrami sandwich is deliciously smoked and seasoned to perfection. To say it's large is an understatement and can split to satiate the pickiest of carnivores. Overheard kids raving about the burger and fries so I'll have to save that for another trip to LA.
